Jessica’s narration is excellent!! If you like hearing about more obscure cases, outside of the western world, this is the podcast for you!! Would highly recommend. She is thorough in her research, content, and has a lovely speaking voice. Looking forward to more episodes!

The story vs. voice

I enjoy the story the host reads but the voice is so monotone. I think she tries to sound excited or frustrated from her stories that she reads but it’s so scripted. Otherwise, the stories are interesting.

Awesome research & great storytelling

I’m a podcast newbie and came across this one when browsing for a good true crime series from Asia, being born there myself. I didn’t find many actually, but I’m glad I found this one, because what a true gem this is! I love listening to Jessica’s dry, sarcastic commentaries while delivering tales after morbid tales, which, you could tell was done through extensive research. Jessica, you’re one cool chick and keep doing what you’re doing, because it’s awesome! Cheers from SF.

Great podcast

A great true crime podcast with a focus on Asian crimes. Really good stories told really well. All new with all of the other true crime podcasts focusing on the English speaking world. Jessica also adds episodes devoted to asian myths which are fascinating. A must listen. Great job.

I’m a little creeped out

Her voice is so relaxing so I find myself being lulled into an extremely relaxed state as I listen to some of the most horrifying content. I love it!

My favorite!

I pay attention to about 40 podcasts - 98% of them are of the True Crime genre. This one is easily my favorite. Jessica has an inate sense of timing, humor, cynicism, and empathy mixed with an uncanny sense of when to throw in a profanity to surprise/delight the listeners. Plus she NEVER compalins about how hard she is working, how much pain and sorrow goes into researching her subjects and is always a delight to listen to - a refreshing change contrasting some of her peers. She always informs AND entertains, which is a rarity.

Crazy true crime and urban myths stories!

I love listening to this podcast so much! It's great to hear urban myths and true crime stories that I might not have heard otherwise. Every episode is well written and I look forward to every new episode!

More than just true crime, worth listening to

I'm enjoying the Asian Madness podcast. The host reminds you that she's "new to the game" and it's a no-frills production, but I like her demeanor which is more than I can say for many other podcasts with higher production value. Also, it's not just true crime, but pretty much anyting horrific having to do with Asia, for instance the second episode is on gruesome urban legends.

Exciting, informative and fun show

There are not many shows that focus on murder and true crime in Asian countries. I think this one might just be the best. The host is a great story teller. She does not shy away from the gruesome details, but she offsets that with occasional funny asides. Well worth your time, to listen.
